Chapter 3: Act Without Craving

कर्म योग
There is no life without action — the question is whether your actions are free

Chapter 3 explains why renouncing action entirely is impossible and unhelpful. Krishna says: 'No one can refrain from acting even for a moment — everyone is forced to act by the qualities of nature.' The real question is not whether to act, but how. Actions done as offerings, without ego-ownership of results, purify the mind. Actions done with craving bind the soul further. Chapter 3 introduces the concept of yajna (sacred offering) — every action can be a ritual offering to the divine.

A 60-second practice

Do something right now — even stand up and straighten your room — as an offering. Not for yourself, not for praise. Dedicate the action. Feel how the energy of the act changes.

Apply at the start of any task.
