Chapter 2: The Immortal Self
सांख्य योग
The soul has never been born and can never die — only the body changes
Chapter 2 contains the Gita's philosophical foundation. Krishna tells Arjuna: 'The soul is never born nor dies. It has not come into being, does not come into being, and will not come into being. It is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, and primeval.' The body is like a garment — the soul simply changes clothes at death. This teaching on the immortal Atman is the basis for everything that follows in the Gita and the foundation of all Vedantic philosophy.

A 60-second practice
Close your eyes. Ask: 'Was I aware when I was 5 years old? Was I aware when I was 20?' Notice that the awareness itself has not changed — only the contents. That unchanging awareness is the Atman.
Best at dawn — the hour of clear awareness.
