Mallinatha

मल्लिनाथ
The only female Tirthankara in Shvetambara tradition — lord of wrestlers

Mallinatha is the nineteenth Tirthankara. In Shvetambara Jainism, Malli is considered female — the only female Tirthankara — while Digambaras consider her male. Her symbol is the jar (kalasha) and she was born in Mithila. Her story involves outwitting six kings who sought her hand, demonstrating supreme wisdom over brute desire.
