The path of non-violence, self-discipline, and liberation through the conquest of the inner self
Jainism is one of the world's oldest living religions, founded on the principle of ahimsa (non-violence) towards all living beings. It teaches that every soul (jiva) is capable of achieving liberation (moksha) through right knowledge, right faith, and right conduct — the Three Jewels. The universe is eternal and self-governing; no creator god is needed. Twenty-four Tirthankaras (ford-makers) have illuminated the path across this cosmic age, with Mahavira (599–527 BCE) being the most recent.

A 60-second practice
For one minute, walk extremely slowly and carefully, watching where each foot lands. This is the Jain practice of mindfulness in motion — every step a meditation in non-harm.
Practice Samayik (Jain meditation) at dawn and dusk — the two sandhya periods.
