Anandpur Sahib

ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ
The city of bliss — where the Khalsa was born on Vaisakhi 1699

Anandpur Sahib in Punjab is one of the holiest Sikh sites — the city founded by Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and the birthplace of the Khalsa. On Vaisakhi 1699, Guru Gobind Singh Ji created the Khalsa here, initiating the Panj Pyaare (Five Beloved Ones). The Hola Mohalla festival, a three-day celebration of martial arts and Sikh heritage, is held here every year. The Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, one of the five Sikh Takhts (seats of authority), is located here.

Consider what community you belong to — a group that upholds values you believe in. If you don't have one, consider building it. That is Anandpur's energy.
