The Sikh story in four steps

Ten Gurus, one light

From Guru Nanak's founding vision to the Guru Granth Sahib — how ten human teachers became one eternal scripture, with the Golden Temple's doors open on all four sides.

  1. 🕯️
    Guru Nanakਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ

Guru Nanak taught one formless God — Ik Onkar — and a life of honest work, remembrance and shared service. The community kitchen he began still feeds anyone who comes, without question.

    Amritsarਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ

At Amritsar the Harmandir Sahib, the Golden Temple, rises from its pool of nectar with doors on all four sides — an architecture of welcome, open to every direction and every person.

  3. 🦅
    Guru Gobind Singh Jiਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ

The tenth Guru, Gobind Singh, founded the Khalsa and then did something remarkable: he ended the line of human Gurus, passing the Guruship not to a successor but to a book.

  4. 📜
    Guru Granth Sahib Jiਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ

The Guru Granth Sahib is treated as a living Guru to this day — and within its pages sit not only the Sikh Gurus but Hindu and Muslim saints, singing side by side.
