ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ
The founder of Sikhism who declared there is neither Hindu nor Muslim
Guru Nanak (1469–1539) was born in Talwandi (now Nankana Sahib, Pakistan). At 30, after a mystical experience in a river where he disappeared for three days, he emerged saying 'There is no Hindu, there is no Muslim' — declaring the unity of all humanity under one God. He undertook four major udasis (journeys) covering thousands of kilometres to spread his message of equality, service, and devotion. His hymns, compiled in the Guru Granth Sahib Ji, are the most sung sacred poetry in the Sikh tradition.

A 60-second practice
Look at the next person you see today — regardless of religion, status, or appearance — and internally acknowledge: we share the same divine light. That is Guru Nanak's vision.
Best at amrit vela (pre-dawn) — Guru Nanak's hour.
