Shakti
शक्ति
The primordial feminine energy that animates all creation
Shakti is the concept of the primordial cosmic energy and the personification of the divine feminine. She is the dynamic force that underlies the entire universe — without Shakti, Shiva is inert. She manifests as Parvati (the benevolent wife), Durga (the warrior), Kali (the fierce transformer), Lakshmi (abundance), and Saraswati (wisdom). The Shakta tradition holds that the entire cosmos is Shakti's dance, and liberation comes through realising this cosmic energy within oneself.

A 60-second practice
Place your hands on your lower belly. Breathe deeply and feel warmth build there. This is your seat of Shakti — life force energy. Acknowledge it with three slow breaths.
Best at sunset — the transition time when feminine energy rises.
