Dharma

धर्म
Your duty, your nature, the right way of living — the cosmic law that sustains all existence

Dharma is one of the most complex and fundamental concepts across all Dharmic traditions. In Hinduism it means cosmic order, righteous duty, and moral law — the path each being must follow according to their nature (svadharma). In Buddhism (Dhamma) it means the teachings of the Buddha and the ultimate nature of reality. In Jainism it is one of the six substances of the universe enabling motion. Dharma holds families, societies, and the cosmos together. Its opposite is adharma — disorder, injustice, unrighteousness.
